Sample Box Guide

A good sample box is not a random miniature haul. It is a controlled experiment with enough contrast to teach your nose.

What makes a good box

A useful box should include a clear theme, two safe anchors, one stretch option, one contrast option, and one route that teaches you what to avoid. That structure gives better feedback than five similar perfumes.

How many samples

Three samples are enough for a narrow choice. Five samples are better for a first route. Eight samples are useful when you are comparing families such as tea, musk, citrus, woods, rose, or amber.

What to record

After each wear, record opening impression, drydown, projection, comfort, compliments, and whether you would wear it again. Full-bottle decisions should come after skin testing, not after reading notes.
